Welcome to Kyrgyzstan! A country of magnificent celestial mountains the top which touch the heavens! Our company is pleased to offer you a perfect tour for tourists who like nature and trekking. We worked out a special tour that will take place on the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. During this trip you will see our famous lake and real nomads. You have a chance to sleep sleep not only in guesthouses but also in yurts - nomadic dwellings made of wood and felt.
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You are met by your guide and picked up at Manas International Airport and then accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a breakfast. After accommodation in a hotel*** that is positioned in a clam part of the city you will have a rest. Afterwards you will have an excursion to Natural Park Ala-Archa. This beautiful park is very popular among locals and takes place in the Ala-Arch gorge, on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in 45 km from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan. You will go to the top of a mountain to have a nice view of this famous gorge. Returing to Bishkek. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Night is to be spent in a Hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Jukku gorge
Breakfast is served at 7 o'clock as always. Afterwards, you will start your journey to Jukku gorge by bus and your guides will tell you about nomads' life, customs and their unusual traditions. On the way, we will drive through the stunning Boom gorge. Then will continue our way to the Jukku gorge along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake, which is second largest mountain lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). The Lake is also acknowledged as "the pearl of Central Asia". On the way we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) situated in Balasagyn city, ancient city taken place along the Great Silk Road and its attached open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). When we will come to Jukku gorge you will have hiking through the gorge to our tent camp. Dinner will be served in the camp, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Jukku gorge
Today you will have adaptation in Jukku gorge, where you will have the opportunity to explore its nature on your own. You can hike along the incredible gorge to take a bath in mineral hot water springs; go on its adjacent peaks, visit crimson mountains or just relaxing in the atmosphere of calm nature. There are amazing mountains, red rocks, and a cave that is called "500 rams". It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. Because there are nomads who still live in yurts and come to this summer pastures with their domestic animals and they are very hospitable and friendly. It is possible to try national drink Kumis (alcohol mare's milk) there. Traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. You will see the way of national food making and you will have a chance even to participate in the process to be closer to nomads' life.
Day 4: Jukku gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu
After breakfast we are off for a hike through the gorge Jukka (2520m above sea level) to the gorge Chon Kyzyl Suu. You will be hiking along the Great Silk Road just like as ancient traders did. During this unforgettable trip you will see our celestial mountains and wonderful views of its unspoiled nature. You will stop for a night at the campsite based right in the gorge.
Day 5: Chon Kyzyl Suu
After a good breakfast, we will leave the camp at 9 am and start our hiking tour to the marvelous Ashu Tor pass (2800m). After your lunch you will have an ascent to an amazing mountain lake, which finds its origin in a glacier. With a bit of luck you might see mountain goats. After enjoying the view of the mountain lake we come back to the station. Our cookers will teach you the way of national meals making. You can even participate in the process of national dish "plov" cooking. You will feel as if you are thousands years ago in wild Tien Shan Mountains. This place is so distant from civilization and you can relax and meditate here.
Day 6: Chon Kyzyl Suu - Djeti Oguz
After a goodbreakfast we will start our way to impressive Djeti Oguz gorge, one of the most beautiful places in Kyrgyzstan. Ypur guide will tell you a not less beautiful legend about this sacred place. You will have hiking along picturesque places and you will be surprised who changeable our mountains. They views change so fast that you do not notice how time passes.
Day 7: Djeti Oguz - Oguz Bashi - Djeti Oguz
What you do today is will have hiking up to the Oguz Bashi glacier. You are going to see many yurts on the way. A yurta is an original nomad's dwelling made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by a number of layers of felt. This is a unique collapsible dwelling that is built without nails. You will have a nice picnic with a view of the glacier and then we will return to our camp.
Day 8: Djeti Oguz
In the morning you will have time to walk in this stunning gorge. You will have several guides and that is why you can choose what to do. Some of you can hike to a mountain waterfall; others can go down the gorge to a resort that was built in Soviet time. It will be possible to take a bath with hot springs and have massage there if you wish. Or you can hike to the Red rocks that have unusual forms. Because of these rocks the whole gorge was given such a name. Djeti Oguz means "7 bulls". Indeed it looks like huge bulls from a far distance.. In the evening you will taste our national meal - kurdak. You can also participate in its making to find out all secrets of nomadic cuisine. During your farewell mountain dinner you will enjoy Kyrgyz Folklore show. You will listen to our nomadic songs and unusual national Kyrgyz instruments.
Day 9: Djeti Oguz - Issyk Kul Lake
Having packed your backpacks, you will be served breakfast at 9 o'clock Then you will have hiking down to the Djeti Oguz gorge. It has a nice mountain river that flows along the whole gorge. When we will come to the bottom of the gorge you can walk for 15 minutes on the top of the nearest mountain - there is a stunning view on Djeti Oguz rocks and red rocky mountains around! Then you move to the northern shore of the Issyk Kul Lake which is second largest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". Dinner is to be served in a guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.
Day 10: Issyk Kul - Bishkek
You are served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Then we begin our trip back to Bishkek city (the capital of Kyrgyzstan). In Bishkek you will have time to go for a walk around the city and to purchase souvenirs. At 7 pm a farewell dinner is served.
Day 11: Flight home
Early in the morning you will be transferred to the airport according to your flight details.
