Kyrgyzstan is a perfect place for trek over incredible mountains and through unforgettable gorges. There is the second largest mountain lake in the world Issyk-Kul after Titikaka in South America. You will experience the nomadic style of life far away from the hectic of busy and stuffy cities.
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
Manas International Airport is the place where you meet your guide for the first time and ne/she will accompany you to Bishkek City which takes 30 minutes drive. You will start the day with a breakfast. The entire day is given to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. The tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, beautiful Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square) dedicated to the deceased in the Great Patriotic War, the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest. Then you will move to the Chon Kemin valley in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). Dinner is at 7 pm.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
Breakfast is at 7 o'clock in the morning. Afterwards, you will start your trip to Tamga (380 km,6h) by car. We will drive along the southern shore of the extraterrestrial Issyk-Kul Lake, which is second largest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). The Lake is also known as "the pearl of Central Asia". Dinner is to be served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Tamga - Jukku gorge - pass Jukku
After a breakfast we leave the Guesthouse at 8 o'clock by car that takes us to the entrance of the gorge Jukka. From there we will hike through the gorge until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukka. You will take lunch on the way. Jukku is the place of Kyrgyz nomadic shepherds. You will encounter real nomads who still live in yurts and try national drink Kumis (alcohol mare's milk). Your dinner will be in the open air. And you will spend the night in tents in wild nature.
Day 4: Pass Jukku - Ak-Shirak
The day starts with breakfast at 8 o'clock after which we start the hiking over the pass Jukku, you will have lunch. Then you will continue your hiking along the Silk Road (7hours) inside the Ak Shirak mount range (average level is 3680m above sea). Ak-Shirak is famous for its mountain Chokoli lakes. All of them find their origin in glaciers. There is a tremendous vision over the greater part of these lakes. After your feast you will spend the night in yurts near these lakes.
Days 5-7: Syrty Ak-Shirak
Syrty Ak-Shirak(3000m above sea level) - From Ak Shirak, it is a 3-days-hike along the southern side of the Terskey Ala-Too Mountains to achieve the foot of glacier Ashu-Tor. (3600-4200m).During this unforgettable trip you will also see our gorgeous Ara-Belsu Lake. Ak-Shirak is the place where earliest traders were hiding from robberies who tried to attack them on the way. It seems that good spirits look after you there. All nights are in traditional nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts. They are made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail.
Day 8: Gorge Ashu-Tor
After a good breakfast you will hike over the pass Ashu-Tor (4000m.) At this place you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier, while having a picnic. Then you will approach the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by crossing through the dazzling Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 Hours, 3250m). After your dinner you will spend the night in tents.
Day 9: Gorge Ashu-Tor - Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
After packing your backpacks, you will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock before you start your 7 hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley and the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break is on the way. Your dinner is served at 8 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts just like as nomads do. A yurta is completed of felt and wooden frame without a single nail. It is a collapsible dwelling of nomads. It takes only few hours to erect and to collapse, correspondingly.
Day 10: Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu - Bishkek
Breakfast is served at 8 o'clock. In the morning, we'll guide you down to the termal springs of Jeli Suu, (1 Hours) where you can take a bath. After taking lunch you will be transferred to Bishkek (350km) by car along the southern shore of celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1600m.ab.s.l.) via the magnificent Boom gorge. You get to Bishkek at a Hotel **** at around 7 pm, where you will have time for yourself until your pick up at 8 pm. You will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant with a national folklore show in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Day 11: Return Journey
Your guide is meeting you at your Hotel at the pick up time arranged previously according to your flight details and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
