The bulk of light fine sand is located alone in the middle of a desolate plain, overgrown with sparse bushes of solyanka and saxaul. Sometimes in the summer, when the wind blows, the mountain comes to life and begins to emit a powerful continuous hum, resembling the hum of an airplane. The sand sounds when it starts to crumble. The sound rises and falls, like the roar of an airplane's engines. You will admire the magnificent panorama the Dune from the top. The sand dune stretches almost perpendicular to the Bolshoy and Maly Kalkan ridges. You will spend the night in the hotel.

The main rock is lava spewed from ancient volcanoes. In the distant past, on the border of the Paleozoic and Mesozoic, in this place there were two volcanoes that were part of the volcanic belt, the remains of which are preserved in the Eastern part of modern Kazakhstan. Water, time and sun, wind carved intricate shapes in the rock. Aktau is a world-famous, unique paleontological deposit. The remains of ancient animals (crocodiles, turtles, giant rhinoceroses, primitive predators) Dating back 25-30 million years are perfectly preserved in the layers of Paleogene-Neogene lake sediments. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Altyn Emel - Charyn Canyon - Kolsai Lakes
After breakfast you will drive to Ash-tree Grove on the Temerlik River. The grove is declared a natural monument - it's amazing how a fragile community of trees can be so ancient. Such an ash tree - Sogdian - is also called river-loving because it always grows near rivers. Ash grows only in Charyn. Then you will move to Charyn Canyon. a historical natural monument made up of sedimentary rocks that are approximately 12 million years old. The canyon gets its name from the river that flows nearby. The Charyn river originates in the foothills of the Trans Ili Alatau and flows into one of the largest rivers in Kazakhstan-Ili. Near the canyon is a unique attraction Valley of Castles. Among this splendor, it is impossible not to notice the turquoise surface of the lake, which bears the same name - Kaindy. Translated, it means "abounding in birches". a birch grove is located 5 kilometers away, but the most interesting thing is that it was able to survive under water, these are branches and needles of fir trees that can be seen through the clear water of the lake.
