Ala Archa gorge
Ala Archa gorge is one of the most picturesque places on Kyrgyz range and one of the favorite among tourists and locals. It is located just 45 km from Bishkek city, and during one hour drive you will raise from 750 to 2100 asl. The name Ala-Archa means Bright Juniper. These trees grow everywhere there. For Kyrgyz it is a sacred tree that they use almost in all their traditions. When a child is born it get a cradle made of juniper as one of the main present, when he is sick adults burn juniper branch nearby saying special praying, when the child becomes adult and wants to marry - again a woman with burning juniper will go inside his new yurt to protect it from bad spirits. You can choose horseback riding trip in Chon Kemin. It will take about two hours to get the place. Horses are used to be very important animals in culture of Kyrgyz as since ancient time they had been practice nomadic life and horses were not only means of conveyance but also main friends of warriors.
Read the tour... Issyk Ata is a well-known place that has thermal springs. It takes two hours to get there. It is an astounding gorge where you can have a light track to a mountain waterfall. There is a small pass that brings you to it. Then you can have a picnic by the waterfall. Also as an option you can go to an open swimming pool with mineral hot springs. You will swim there and enjoy the scenery of mountains around.

Burana Tower Burana Tower was built in 11 century at the place of an old site. There was a flourishing city on the Great Silk Road - with the name Balasagun. Balasagun was famous writer of that time the city of named after him. Many traders were coming to that place to sell their good and spend a night. Nowadays there is a Tower that is 24 meters high now. At that time it was 45 meters high but because of the earthquake in 15 century half of it fell down. This tower used as a sign for travelers and traders, as a watching tower and as a place to call local people to pray. After the earthquake in the 15 century people were scared to stay in the city. What they thought was that God damned them and sent a disaster to them there. That is way there ran away in a hurry and did not have the majority of their things. Our archeologists found many artifacts there and you are able to see some of them in a local museum. The other part of finds was taken to Russian during Soviet time. The houses in the city were made of clay bricks and they melt because of time and precipitations. Now it is possible to see only the tower and a hill nearby that is supposed to be khan's palace.
